Today was a very active day with construction and VBS. On the construction side, we unloaded 500 blocks and placed them on the second floor along with mixing concrete mix for the block. I didn’t realize laying block was such a challenge. On the VBS side, we were able to teach VBS at a near by daycare facility and also at Mama Yoli’s. The theme for today was Noah’s Ark and all the children had a blast role-playing, singing and making hand puppets. The women involved in the “sister to sister” project came to Mama Yoli’s with all of the items that they make at home, such as necklaces, bracelets, ear rings, and decorative cloth bags. I had the opportunity today to visit a family and was invited into their house; this was a very emotional moment. This family is so blessed of what they have, which is very little and was honored for us to come visit them in their home. We were able to talk to them and pray with them. What I experienced today along with others is what makes this mission trip priceless. Before we left Atacucho, several of us was able to play soccer with the children. Playing soccer at 10,000 feet above sea level wasn’t easy; those kids were running circles around us.
See ya….

Wow! I know you must be getting tired! It was good to hear from you today. Your very thoughtful :) hehe The pictures are so unbelievable. I can't wait to see them all when you get home. Your doing a great job. We are very proud and continue to pray for you daily. Everything on the home front is good. I will work on Trish getting you those pics. Take care. Rod & Tracey
Hey Guys
Isn,t it great to be in another country where the people are so greatful for what they have. We all take so much for granted in the U.S. It is so nice to be able to step back and live the simple life and not worry so much about everything!! I'm so happy for you and your whole team. Be safe and keep up the good work.
P.S.--I think the Center Point Fire t-shirt would make great soccer uniforms in Equador

It is so weird to see how genuinely happy the kids seem. All I think about when I look at the pics is how miserable I would be. I guess you don't miss what you've never had. Wish you could bring all those kids home. I want to take care of them! Sydney is great. (Don't pay any attn. to Tracey) She doesn't know what she's talking about most of the time. Still counting the days!
LOVE YOU!!! Tricia (noticed the shirt and belt today).
I'm so very proud of you. Am praying daily for you & the team. It's hard to believe that people are so grateful for so little. We are truly spoiled (some more than others-wouldn't want to mention any names!! Take care & hurry home. Jean S.
Talk to Trish this morning and We are praying for your strength. Sydney slept well and said to tell you to be careful today. Ignore Trish's comment she knows I had your best interest at heart. Hope your day is good and God will give you super brick laying strength. Have a great day. Tracey
Looks like all the training I gave you in building keystone walls is paying off.(haha)It is a rare opportunity for someone to see what you are getting to experience, I will pray for you and Donnie and see ya when you get home. And again your welcome for the valuable training.
