Day Six "Thursday"

The day began with a trip to one of the smallest daycare facilities in Atacucho. This particular daycare holds about 45 children a day. Once Mama Yoli’s is completed, all of these children will move there. We were able to teach VBS and visit with these children. Also while we were there, we donated blue jeans to most of them. Once we returned to Mama Yoli’s, it was back to laying block. Following lunch, we split up into 2 teams and visited families in Atacucho. We were invited into there home while they gave their testimony of how they live for Jesus each day. As we stop and talked to each family, we prayed with them. I thought I saw it all yesterday, but today was unbelievable. It seems that all of the children are getting to know our faces each day. As we returned back to Mama Yoli’s, we laid more blocks and taught VBS to the older children and teenagers. We ended the day a game of soccer with the teenagers. Donnie was able to get some action today.

Miss you all.....

I am fighting tears as I look at the pics of you and Donnie w/ the kids! I know tomorrow will be hard when you leave, but take comfort in knowing what a difference you made in such a short time. (did ya notice the slam from my mom about being spoiled?)Not necessary. I can tell by your voice the week has taken a toll, but you'll be refreshed soon and the experience is priceless. Hope you feel the prayers!
Hugs and Kisses!

I tried to send you a message last shift but it apparently didn't go through. It looks like you've both been busy doing God's work. I sent this blog site to all CPFD and see you've gotten some messages. Tricia called me last shift and said her and Sydney are doing fine and miss you. I think Sydney was in the same group at soccer camp with Rusty Lowe's daughter. Look out for big brother Donnie cause he needs constant attention. Rob

A certain person thought that my comment about being spoiled was a slam, but it wasn't. I just think that you work too hard, but appreciate & love you for wanting to give your best. What you have done this week is beyond words. I truly believe that in the end, what we do for Christ is what matters & I know that your reward will be great. Will be grateful when you home again. Love, Jean
